Whatever it is, it looks like a Series II. |

This is either a series 2 or an early 2a judging by the deep sills on the vehicle. |

I wouldn't argue with 2A, but I'll be interested to see what Alexander has to say about this. ( ![]() |

Q plates were issued to ex-MOD vehicles from time to time, however this one doesn't have any military features. The shelf things on the side are like nothing I have seen before, though at a wild guess it could have served as a fire tender in a factory or similar, and nto registered until it was sold on, hence the Q plate. Other than that, looks like a standard Series II/early IIa 109" to me -- Last edit: 2008-02-21 23:18:13 |

Calum, I think you have got it spot on. These open sides are typical for Carmichael Fire Tenders. Originally the hose connectors would have been there.![]() It seems the white side lights are of the raised type, which were -- if I am right -- only introduced with the Series IIa in 1961. |

Ah, recognise it now!! Probably an FT/3 or FT/4. Though you can't tell, because both have different setups (I believe the one Alex has posted is a FT/2??) |
