It was sold in the Philippines as the Isuzu Rodeo, possibly with the UC chassis code |

The Isuzu Rodeo was never sold in the Philippines, in its place, we only got the Trooper instead. |

But the Philippines got an abundant number of Wizards and MUs as used imports from Japan, with some Rodeos and Amigos finding its way on our shores. But I believe this car is not properly listed, here are some of my few reasons. These particular SUVs are uncommon, but at least 4.5% out of 5 chances, they’re either MUs or Wizards, so scrap the possibility of it being an Amigo or a Rodeo. And this car looks more like a 2-door rather than the 4-door. Let’s narrow it down. While the USDM Amigo and the JDM MU looks almost the same from their respective markets, the Japanese MUs had these colored pillars on the rear which in contrast to the American Amigo, only had a soft-top configuration. I think there are hardtop Amigos but they do not have a sloping rear end like the Japanese MU. American Rodeos did indeed get the colored pillars, but in the Japanese Wizards, they were absent. Secondly, Japan did get this colour as with the American market version of this car, but given its close proximity to Japan, it makes much more sense that this is an MU. While they aren’t that much reasonable evidence, I used my sense to identify this particular car, as I always come across these cars to know exactly the market differences of the US and JDM model. So, to top it all of, this is an Isuzu MU, definitely. So this lost definitely needs to be changed. -- Last edit: 2023-05-01 16:54:24 |
