I counted three wheel nuts, plus three other reflections on the inside roots of the spokes. In any case a non-symetrical or odd number gets my vote.![]() |

Comparing an enlarged view with a Cowley wheel at a similar angle; the highlights are a good match with two nuts seen plus the centre boss hiding the third nut also the outer highlights being the roots of the closest spokes. |

Oxford. There are no offside doors on the Cowley. The 5-stud wheels (for the Oxford only) began with the 1927 model year, which also saw the start of the new flat radiator. The steering wheel is a good indicator on the Bullnose models, though. 3-spokes on the Cowley, 4 on the Oxford. |
