It was locally built and sold as Chevrolet Firenza. |

Interesting to learn how names are mixed up... |

I'm usually careful about the "Made for:" field associated with the "Built in" one because, in several cases, these models are exported to neighbour countries. I think it makes more sense when we know that a certain model/name is built/used exclusivelly for that country. |

"made for" also explains why it is named Chevrolet, even if it is not made especially for this country, we name it like that because we suppose it is (same for VW Rabbit in USA even if US-specs parts are not visible) |

Correct. FYI, a monster model Firenza Can-Am GT with a 5.0l V8 was built and homologated to battle the Basil Green Ford Capri Perana with its 351cu V8 on the track, and are now sought-after collector's items. |

This is the model of which I have seen an example here in NZ - an HC Viva shell powered by a Chevy 2 four cylinder. |

Is it based on the Nova? -- Last edit: 2008-01-22 03:03:03 |
