Barreiros Pantera..Spanish copy of US AM series..main distinctive feature is the Barreiros has no vents to the bonnet sides, whereas the AM series has louvered sides to the bonnet. further to the above..because the US M35 its patterned on has a multi fuel engine,all models of the US M35 will have louvred bonnet sides..ALMOST all the Barreiros have diesel engines which dispenses for the need for side louvres, this version is the Model PB 185...SOME versions of the Barreiros WILL have louvred sides when fitted with petrol engine..the later models have the same chassis, but are Cab Over Engine cabs (probably an economy measure due to production difficulties). -- Last edit: 2007-11-25 17:31:12 |

up in the air over this..from what i can find out its patterned on the US M35 series but built wholly in Spain, cant say tho if its an officially approved license built version..it has no M35 series components. |

No, this is an M611, the "export" version of the original M49 fuel tanker (a month ago I was crawling under one of these beasts, just taken out of service). M600 series trucks were simplified models built as military aid for USA-friendly countries. The Barreiros Panter III, even if it has the looks of the M34/M35 series and was clearly inspired in them, has NOTHING in common, and putting one beside the other you can see clearly they are very similar but they are NOT the same thing. There were a normal-control version for army use, and a COE version for civil use. ALL Barreiros trucks were diesel-engined, and some of them had louvres on the bonnet sides. But ALL the M34/M35 re-engined in Spain with Barreiros engines had new louvered bonnet sides fitted for added cooling. This just a plain, non-rebuilt M611. -- Last edit: 2008-09-07 23:20:00 |

Make should be AM General, made in USA. As the previous comment said, the ID of the Barreiros version is incorrect. |

I replaced the picture, but are you sure for the episode? As the background with threes looks more like many other vehicles listed as 1.05 than those listed as 1.01 |

Yes, because episodes from this TV series were broadcasted by broadcast days only November 12, 1973 to February 18, 1974. These episodes have episode title 1.01 Tabaco y naranjas a mitad de precio |
