Duesenberg J Convertible?

Duesenberg Model J. By the fenders, I'd say it's a 1932 model, and by the exhaust pipes on the side of the onnet probably a supercharger.

1933 Duesenberg SJ ( supercharged) with body by Murphy .It has the skirted front fenders .1932 Duesenbergs still had unskirted fenders.Model J Duesenbergs were the non supercharged cars ,Model SJ the supercharged ones.It would be really interesting to search where the picture was made , if in France it may be one of the few Duesenbergs that reached Europe before the war.

That's easy -- since this is an MGM film, it was almost certainly made at MGM's studios in Culver City. For exteriors they would have used the studio backlot and perhaps a few locations in Los Angeles for anything the backlot couldn't provide. Hollywood studios made most of their films that way during the 1930s.
