1966-1969 1600 TL [Typ 31]. TL because of the fastback body. |

Yes, but sold as Fastback Sedan, not 1600 TL. That means this one will have to be changed. -- Last edit: 2012-09-02 10:16:36 |

@tom11: the Notchback wasn't sold there, neither as Shortnose (1961-1969), not as Longnose (1970-1973). Only the Fastback and the Squareback. We have just one accidental background found of a Notchback in the USA here, but I don't know, in which movie. IIRC it was a scene, where there's the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. |

We have four Notchbacks on the site: /vehicles.php?make=&model=notchback+sedan The one you're talking about is the one in The French Connection: /vehicle_525336-Volkswagen-Notchback-Sedan-Typ-31-1966.html |

Ah, yes. The Notchback at French Connection is odd for one more reason. It's the basic version, ti identify by the missing trims on the side. Normally VW never has exported poverty-spec trim lines of any car to the USA ![]() |
