A very nice 1970 GTO that is prominently featured in the movie, with some great fishtailing and burnout scenes...Robert Downey Jr. drives the HELL out of this car! Car has the optional "Judge" style spoiler and Rallye II wheels, and a Hurst floor-shifted automatic transmission, if memory serves. Most likely carried the 400 ci powerplant, since it doesn't have 455 badges. The color, assuming it's still the factory shade, is most likely code "D" Bermuda Blue. Apparent modifications include slight rubber offset (the rear tires are fatter) and an AM/FM cassette player. |

Really a beautiful car, saw it for the first time when it came out and always remembered it. |

Car was up for sale on Ebay about three years ago. Had a non-original, fairly mild 455 in it (apparently the same engine that powered it in the movie), a TH400 transmission, and a 12 bolt rear with 4.11 gears. At the time of sale it was in good, but not perfect, condition, and had been minorly altered since the filming with 8-hole Weld wheels and a pseudo-Royal Bobcat white hood stripe. |

Rewatching as it's that time of year. RDJ in this car is a riot. |

We may own that GTO right now. I wish we could get the vin from the GTO used in the movie. |
