Or, less likely Twelve?

Its hard to say between Ten and Twelve but (as seen in the movie) no rear wheel spats more likely Twelve I think and consistent with existing listings.

Is it possible the Twelve had a slightly higher roof-line? Very little found on the web so far.

1) I do not have time to watch these films, so only had the photo with the rear wheel arch covered by the girl’s hat.
2) All the Twelve pictures I could find show the model that looks like the Goodwood, this seems to have the flat topped, rear hinged bonnet of the 39 -48 Type Twelve, which I have not seen, whereas I have seen lots of Eight and Ten vans. Our milk was delivered in an Eight, until the milkman went modern and bought a Bedford CA float.
3) It’s a fairly short wheelbase, but really not clear enough to go nap on one or the other.

On balance, scratching head and knocking back another glass of you know what, Twelve.

OK?

My hunch for the high roof would be to go big, so Twelve feels better than Ten, but I've got no evidence to quote.

Nothing to confirm it directly but I believe the higher roof-line is consistent with a pre-war 'Twelve' van

The re-introduction of the Ten in 1945 was with the pre-war 82 cu.ft. body and had therefore the same flatter roof-line.
A new 120 cu.ft. body was introduced in 1945 on the 12hp. but logically the pre-war 'Twelve' van was also larger (perhaps 100 or 110 cu.ft.?) and appears to have the gradually rising roof-line starting over the cab and a higher rear as seen in the movie.

The same higher roof seen here /vehicle_959453-Austin-Twelve-Van-1938.html and /vehicle_1291253-Austin-Twelve-Van-1938.html
