Sorry for the bad quality, but I suspect something rare or not common... ? Gilbern? ... Matra 530? (not common in UK I guess) |

Very blurred I think it might be a Ginetta, like this one: http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/kitcar/kitcar_details.php?249 |

I agree it might be a Ginetta G15. One of the details ( more or less ) perceived on the 3rd thumbnail is a Morris Marina-type doorhandle. Considering this, I think it could be a circa 1972 G15 MkIV. |

I think its Matra 530 too angular to be a G15 Quite few 530s came to the UK new I went past a Matra 530 LHD a blue one in Canterbury region of CHCH NZ must be only one in NZ when it was at speed and I going faster in 1990s before speed cameras in my Opel Manta 2.0GSI - I also seen G15 here at a local swap meet - I Think NZ only got 2 here Rpcm -Have you got electron microscope eyes "..Morris Marina-type doorhandle." ...How can you see that ? |

Saw this on DVD a few weeks back and studied this footage intently. Can't add anything to previous comments or exclude any of the suggestions. |

There are some quite impressive G15s revealed on DynaMike's link, including one impersonating a Mk 3 Spitfire. Not sure about the red example with enhanced arches and front end, as if overdosed on probiotic yoghurt or injected with collagen. A standard G15 seems closest to the car between the crossing gates, although perhaps have rpcm double check the front end. (Bet he knows the station). For me, the roofline doesn't suggest a Matra. |

Reference photos for comparison of G15 evolutionary changes 1] early 1970 2] March 1973 registration - rear side window enlarged from Oct 70 - body coloured divider in front bumper from Oct 70 - slightly bigger front intake under bumper from Oct 70 - flush Marina door handles from summer 72 - front indicators set vertically from summer 72 Total production officially listed as 804 when final batch made in Oct 73, but Ginettaists say it was probably only about 600. All sold in UK (including 5 to NI), apart from Angola (1), Canada (2), HK (1), NZ (1), Portugal (1), UAE (1) and USA (2 - these were built in 1977 at the request of a potential US importer and called G15 Super S with VW 1600cc engines and a racier bodykit, but nothing further happened). |
