This must be an Astro SS, with that grille in 1978. |

Didn't all the Astro SS models have a sleeper cab though? I'm thinking this is another vehicle newer than the claimed 1978 production date of the film. ![]() -- Last edit: 2020-01-01 18:03:15 |

Alright, let's go for a 1980 Astro 95. |

It doesn't show the production dates on IMDB (from start to finish), that's the release date (in this case it could be incorrect). It might say it in the trivia or on Wikipedia for a lot of movies. They added the filming dates on the filming location pages. That doesn't include preproduction, building sets before filming, location scouting, casting etc. Even for a short film like this production could have been the year before. |

1968-79 bumper (3 horizontal slots in the middle) and door handle in the middle of the door: without a doubt a 1978-79 Astro SS with a 54" / 1,37 m BBC day cab ![]() Here is another one. So it's a 1978 truck in a 1978 movie... -- Last edit: 2020-01-20 03:28:31 |
