Not FEL 751D - a 1966 MW6G - unless the front's been repainted. But it could be HFM 561D, another 1966 MW6G which can be hired out. But someone who knows bussy things would need to confirm the MW6G idea .... |

There are so many variants of a Bristol MW6G that, unless the numberplate or the operator and fleet number are clearly visible all attempts to allocate an identity would be no more than guessing. All that can be said for sure is that the style of bodywork appeared on many Bristol MW chassis, and that many of those chassis had Gardner 6 cylinder engines, when new, but that some had Gardner 5 cylinder engines. 1965 chassis built in total, over ten years, according to this article. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_MW If you want to choose one, here are the contenders: - http://www.bristolsu.co.uk/mw/inpres.htm -- Last edit: 2019-11-12 23:49:17 |

It’s not that we don’t know WHAT it is, we just don’t know WHICH it is. Bristol MW almost certainly 6G because it’s the coach, not the service bus. |

Maybe you have already noticed, but the last letter 'D' of 'SEAFORD' is clearly visible together with the tops of other letters behind the sign? Given the facts that its for hire and the livery and appearance it looks highly probable that it is HFM 561D. -- Last edit: 2019-11-13 12:34:47 |
