White perspex indicator panels with red lettering were soon added to the front although the PSV was re-allocated to Southampton in February 1969 and the fleet number changed to 1016 in September 1971. Repainted in NBC red & white dual purpose livery in 1974 but passed to Glover of Ashbourne in 1978 before preservation at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre at Ruddington in April 1999.
