![]() No Ferrari GTO's ran in the 1966 race (you can see the 1966 GT40 in the background). This crash is completely fictional. |

This mock-up is trying to look like a 275 GTB I think, which would also be period correct as at least three of those ran in Le Mans in 1966. |

The only actual red with blue stripe/nose GTB in the real race was the Maranello Concessionaires UK-entered #29 Piers Courage/Roy Pike in a 275 GTB Competizione [09035] which finished 8th. Despite this slight incident. |

The No. 57 was a reserved 275 GTB Competizione fielded by the Belgian Racing Team, Ecurie Francorchamps, driven by Belgian racing driver, Pierre Noblet and co-driver, Claude Dubois. At the 1966 Le Mans, the No. 57 had finished in 10th place with 310 laps completed. -- Last edit: 2022-11-13 00:53:03 |

No CGI is used here, crash is real. The real #29 Ferrari chassis 09035 275 Competizione that took part in '66 Le Mans: ![]() ![]() ..info on the replicas built on main movie page, main image here (which curiously doesn't exist in the 4K version) and other shots show a car that looks half way between a 275 Comp Speciale with the GTO nose and smaller/more streamlined body Link to "www.barchetta.cc" and a 250 GTO, no Speciales or GTOs took part in the real 1966 race. behind the scenes, car was shot in the air with a rocket: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te7LPqUd2CQ -- Last edit: 2024-05-19 03:07:16 |
