Obviously modified to carry someone in a wheelchair, but it's very difficult to find any information about such conversions done so long ago. Did Radford or Crayford or someone similar do these? |

Not an estate but a Thames 5cwt van [307E] if the bumpers are painted silver, as they look to be. -- Last edit: 2007-09-05 14:13:45 |

I wouldn't have thought so; I don't think either coachbuilder did this kind of conversion. My guess is that it was carried out by some specialist firm in New Zealand. Again, one of our Kiwi friends might be able to help ![]() |

The Thames 307E van was based on the 105E Anglia so that's not surprising. ![]() The two vertically hinged rear doors are definitely from the 307E van rather than the Anglia Estate for instance. Front badge is also Thames |

The 'conversion' was quite an easy one to do with a fibre-glass top added to the van. A similar conversion was carried out on the original minivan I think and other vans. Probably more than one UK company did them and the fibre-glass bit could have been shipped to places like Australia and New Zealand or made locally. |
