Question à 100 balles: quelle date doit-on indiquer? Celle de première prod en GB 1970 (début sept. 69), ou celle d'assemblage en NZ 1971?... |

I followed what is usual when we know the date of a car by its reg. or by other detail that indicates a more precise identification. Since the assembly of the model started in 1971, I assumed this one was a locally-assembled car. Of course it may have arrived to the country before 1971 as an imported car, but I dated it accordingly to what seemed more probable. |

If we could see its registration plate at any time it could be dated more accurately. I would think it unlikely to be earlier than '71. 1978 was the last year for the 2500 - I believe much later than other markets. The 1978 2500S is something of a collector item here. |
