This number belonged to a 1951 Opel truck or van in 1956 and 1959.

License plate P62443. P = Älvsborgs län.

1958: No car, truck nor bus had this number.
1962: A Chevrolet 55 bought 9.58 by Trollhättans Begravningsbyrå AB (Trollhättans funeral home) at Kungsgatan 24 in Trollhättan (where this picture was shot).

I don't know if it's the same one but it looks very similar, can't have been too many of these.--

Amazing find! :) But it's not the same unit - note the upper shape of the rear door and the additional Chevrolet badge on the Trollhättan car, which also appears to have a slightly raised roof. Nordbergs weren't overly active in the Begravningsbilar business, but it appears that every time they built one, they mounted an obvious Nordberg body.

Mentions that it was rebuilt to a hearse by Heinels Karosserifabrik in Malmö commissioned by Freys Hyrverk in 1959 when it was 4 years old.

 Good job, @atom :king: Thanks for the update! What an unexpected plot twist... So the Captain above may be a Heinels coachwork as well, but the Ponton is a verified Nordberg (and upon closer inspection actually has a very different style).
