Page 31 of this huge list shows a run of 1971 (August and September) Escort 1300 Estate Automatic Radio Control cars JGF 506K to 524K and 532K to 534K, which would match here. The Cortinas above (by Corgi Classics and Vanguards) show JLA 82D which with 83D were apparently the first LT Radio Control cars in 1966 and both were actually 4 door Super. "Surviving in preservation in London is 1464F (JLA 83D) a Ford Cortina radio control saloon car. This was one of two vehicles which acted as prototypes for the subsequent generations of inspector's cars. Both were delivered in 1965 and originally had EYN/C registrations allocated and were stored until 1966, when the radio equipment and JLA/D registrations were fitted. The fleet numbers (82D was 1463F) were adopted in 1967." from here with picture, but it looks as if it's lost the roof lollipop. |

Wow. I am stunned this exists ! Thanks to it, I've now found the exact reg numbers for three Corgi Trackside 1/76 die-cast models I've bought years ago. That has made my day. ![]() -- Last edit: 2018-09-09 01:47:58 |
