1980/81 Rabbit Sport Truck maybe (I'm only not sure if all Rabbits Pick-ups had this name).

Caddy is also possible.

Yes, a Caddy, the US-made version, based on the Rabbit. US-front, green tinted windows, as I know, this was not made in the VW-Caddy-factory in Sarajevo/Yugoslavia. The European Caddy was also a bit shorter than the US-made Caddy.

They were called Rabbit pickups. The name "Caddy" was never used here. I'm assuming it has something to do with "Caddy" being slang for Cadillac. Similar to the reason the Mitsubishi GTO was sold as the 3000GT here.

I didn't even learn of the name until recently. I never could figure out what VW fans were referring to when they kept talking about the "Volkswagen Caddy."

Made for USA due to front end assembly design. Now, I don't know if this was made in USA or not.

They were indeed built in the U.S., at the VW plant Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
