There has been some confusion that has led to several ensuing mistakes on the site. The AZL was the first "real" luxury version of the 2CV, and was presented for 1955 (October 1954) succeeding the short-lived 1954 AL. This however is not one as the AZL was built in Belgium, only sold in the Benelux area and had a big chrome bumper, and this has a French plate. The 1957 date (1958 MY as presented in September 1957) presumably refers to the AZLP, which was the first luxury version of the 2CV in France: http://www.lesfillesdeforest.be/V2004/BE-deluxe_1954.htm http://www.lesfillesdeforest.be/V2004/BE-AZLP_1960.htm EDIT: The French AZL was a different model that indeed debuted for 1957: http://www.lesfillesdeforest.be/V2004/MOD-AZL_1956.htm -- Last edit: 2024-11-20 18:11:39 |
