electra225 ◊ 2018-06-25 08:06	Do you know exctlay when its name shifted from "Mini Metro" to just "Metro" ? I supposed in about march 1982 but it could be earlier.
dsl ◊ 2018-06-26 12:04	I thought that would be an easy question to answer, but can't find anything definite - lots of references that the change happened, but no specific date. All early UK publicity material - brochures, price lists etc seems just Metro, although export brochures such as this 1980 one for F use mini Metro. The only actual detail on the car is the tailgate badge, which seems to have been mini Metro on all cars until early 1982, then just Metro in a new script. As a few new versions emerged in spring 82 - City, Vanden Plas, MG - it seems they quietly removed the mini reference at the same time.
