Ce n'est pas une Impala (quatre feux au lieu de six). C'est une Biscayne ou une Bel Air.

This looks sooo much like a 1960 Chevrolet Impala hardtop!

I've never even heard of a Chevy Biscayne!

But it exists... it was a different trim level, maybe less common. As said in French above, it is similar to the Impala but it has 4 rearlights rather than 6.

They were made 1958-1972, cheapest model.

Ya I thought about that after I posted that comment, I looked up a Biscayne and found a few pictures and some facts. And the Impala does have two extra headlights.

With so little chrome on the rear, around the lights, the green car on the right must be a Biscayne. A 4-door sedan, I woud say.

From 1960 to 1973 Biscayne AND Bel-Air had 2 tailights, Impalas had 3,this was the case in 1958 as well,in 59 all models shared one tailight style.

If the movie is set in the 50's or 60's, then that blue CA plate, which look real, is a too new for the year(s) the movie is set in. The blue CA plates replaced the black ones in 1969/1970.

In 1960 the pecking order for the full sized chevy started at the bottom end with the biscayne, 2 lights per side on back, six cylinder motor, absolute minimum body molding, standard transmission ( auto. was an available option ), next was the bel-air, same 2 lights per side, small amount of body trim, usually came with 283c.i. & 2 speed auto. trans, next was the impala, extra light per side was clear lense back up light, body molding, interior molding, 327 c.i. etc.

It is model 1219 due to V badge at the boot.

You're exactly right! Maybe that's the reason the '56 is driving without his taillights (or license plate lights), so that the incorrect plate would not stand out. There should be no CA black plates either, which began being issued in 1963, but I think some snuck into this movie as well.
