I think it's this thing again: /vehicle.php?id=531305 but the ID is a bit sketchy. |

More like Zagato during his boxy phase. |

We have a couple of those ones and they're - slightly - better looking: /vehicle_331887-Bedford-TK-1984.html /vehicle_1393138-Bedford-TK.html Could well be an older design of the same. Maybe a TK chassis would explain why it's a bit small to be bus based as Sunbar notes on the Birds of a Feather page? |

@AnimatronixX might have some ideas here as it is not a million miles from his recent security van research? The other pages are better pictures for checking. I've done some searches but can't find anything, even resorted to looking at old TV news footage of prisoners arriving at court without joy so far! -- Last edit: 2021-01-17 22:40:38 |

@Sandie: Unfortunately no really good idea, but I notice the very rough coachwork! A 1960s kitchen furniture/ prisoner van hybrid - combination you don't see every day. The clumsy A-pillar: ![]() The aluminium molding below the rubber-framed side windows ending just somewhere - completely unrelated to the shape of the windows: ![]() The "geometry for beginners" front end with its glued-chipboard charm: ![]() The list goes on! I think *if* there were professional commercial coachbuilders involved, they better keep quiet about it. Looks pretty "made for movie" to me, probably built for prisoners by prisoners, maybe somewhat inspired by the Bedford Locomotors prisoner vans. |

Thanks, now thinking our band of truthseekers need to see if the windscreen/side windows are identifiable from a bus or truck to see if we can work out what's under the made for movie modifications. A point at which I have to admit to being well out of my depth (I could blag my way to ID a genuine ex-Met vehicle ![]() |

You guys in the UK need to be careful! If you continue buiding security vehicles from papier-mâché, all the precious £££ aren't going to last very long... ![]() |
