Cadillac SEDAN DE VILLE 1960? SIX WINDOW? http://storm.tocmp.com/cadillac1960.htm -- Last edit: 2009-06-12 23:47:36 (G-MANN) |

Those are 1960 fins, no question. I think you're right about the model too. The Series 62 and Fleetwoods had ornamentation on the front fenders so this is most likely a Series 63 DeVille (no 'Sedan' prefix) -- Last edit: 2009-06-12 23:47:45 (G-MANN) |

I agree with "Mackster" and "julian"; It's most definitely a 1960 Cadillac Series 62-63, style #6329, "Sedan de Ville" (the 6-window version; the flat-top, 4-window model is #6339). Note in the smaller image the name "Sedan de Ville", in script, at the extremity of the rear fender, just above the trim spear. |

It was hired for one night from a young girl who owned it, she got quite upset when the actors got a little carried away and started jumping all over it - they hadn't realised it wasn't just a studio prop like several of the other cars! |

Girl in Cadillac: Hey, you got a bitchin' car. John Milner (Paul LeMat): Yeah, I know. Girl: In fact, your car's so neat, we're gonna give you our special prize. You want me to give it to ya? Milner: Sweetheart, if the prize is you, I'm a ready teddy. Girl: Well, get bent, turkey! (She throws a water balloon at him, it flies past him and soaks Carol. Milner roars with laughter) Carol (Mackenzie Phillips): Very funny! What a chop! Ha-ha, quit laughing! Let's catch 'em up at the lights then you jump out and flatten their tyres! Milner: Hey wait a minute! Carol: Just do what I say! Milner: All right, boss! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

According to the DVD extras, this car was owned by someone who lent/leased it to the movie company without quite knowing what would happen to it. As Paul LeMat and Mackenzie Phillips run about it spraying shaving cream and running over the ends of it, the owner was reportedly freaking out about to have a heart attack. The actors did wear soft soles out of respect! It does seem like a pretty long red light to be able to harmlessly deflate all 4 tyres! -- Last edit: 2011-10-09 08:29:10 |

Would never loan mine to Hollywood knowing their track record of disrepect for antique cars. |

They only deflated the tires. |
