Every year since 1996, Jeremy Clarkson has released his own brand of annual DVDs, all of which have had a very similar flair throughout. Each DVD will normally contain its own theme, and are often a good source of entertainment, even if not quite as sophisticated as Top Gear.

In this release, Jeremy sets out to discover if cars in the past are actually faster than todays standards, which was surprisingly true. For me, I rate this release as his best so far this millennium as in my opinion they went slightly downhill after Top 100 Cars, although this one really brought the quality back up and didn't feel quite as much of a Top Gear rehash, particularly in comparison to the previous Shootout. Despite this, I still feel that they have lost a bit of their sheer outragousness, but I suppose it is to be expected considering he has aged. Highlights include many comparisons between new models and their older counterparts, though one that stands out in particular is a small look at ever Mitsubishi Evo model, and then, just as you think that no destruction will occur after the previous years disappointment, there is the surprise ending featuring Clarkson having a go at some Clay car shooting. As well as cheesy guitar music throughout, these releases also have an annual tradition of Clarkson destroying "some kind of awful car", which for me is always the highlight. In this instance, Jeremy destroys:

The Austin Metro - used as the initial target in Clarkson's clay car shooting range, where he fires at it with a shotgun, and apparentlly managed to blow out a window, before it plummets to the ground.
The Nissan Bluebird - used as the second target in Clarkson's clay car shooting range, whereby he fires at it with a machine gun featuring a much more satisfying result of carnage.#
The Ford Scorpio - used as the third and final target in Clarkson's clay car shooting range, as it is fired by an RPG, though I believe that this scene was sadly unquestionably fake with its accompanying CGI.

These destruction acts, plus the remaining ones in all of his DVDs, can be found in a recent mix I made - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TzNeEHhARY

Loads of dream cars (DB9, McLaren SLR, Carrera GT, M3 CSL, CL 65 AMG, Zonda, Exige) but overall I found the video to be pretty boring. :/
