Most noticeable, the hotel they stay at the night before going to the beach is the HOTEL MIRAMAR ("sea view" in Spanish). Middle Ages Defense Tower used to see the pirate's ships which, from Algeria, attacked the valencian coast until XVIII Century. Now it's part of the Natural Park of Serra Gelada (next to Benidorm) Castell De Guadalest (Marina Baixa region into Valencian Community and 20 Km from my hometown) The scene was filmed where the arrow shows In far background Polop de la Marina (same region and 15 Km from home) Hotel Albir Playa, Alfás Del Pí in the Costa Blanca, next to Benidorm and 15 km from home http://www.notodoestavisto.com/ffotospost.asp?id=1650&idf=3&loc=5 Altea (same region of Marina Baixa, Valencian Community, Alicante, Spain), in the coast and 20 km. from home Hospital Clínica Benidorm. Last year I went at night for a medical examination and all the next parking places to the Hospital were 'No Parking'. The scene was filmed next day. Sorry, but this kind of "savoir vivre" is nothing for me. The Spanish "Freixenet" (or it's repro-fakes, available here, too) are smoother to throat and stomach. And -for sure- much cheaper.

Here it has the worst reputation: a coast overbuilt with skyscraper-bunkers, dirty beaches and ahem overfilled with drunken, not-model-like-shaped British tourists. I was just trying to guess what's the guys (old?) could say to this lightly dressed lady ..but so don't I, I'm not at all Champagne's fan ... I prefer much real wines and/or some scottish famous drinks

Ingo ◊ 2009-09-30 11:47	@vilero: the problem for me is not the name or the price of wine or sparkling wine (o.k., the price a bit, too), it's the question, if it's digestible. So even the most expensivest Bordeaux-wines are a horror for me due their acid-content. The for me most digestible wine is some Spanish red wine (no name-stuff, bottled in Germany - probably cheapest adulterated junk), one liter for 1,29 € at LIDL. Yes, this is maybe my outing as a philestine - but I don't get a tummyache of it. This is more important for me. I'm not sure, if we have the products from the Cordorniu-winery here, I'll look for that. As I wrote, here you even can buy lookalike-no-name-Freixenet for 1-2 Euro less. Not too bad, too.
