This movie is about time travel. (About three teenagers who accidentally exposed with some chemicals and gain the power for "transfer their mind into their future(20 years later) self's body" and keep jump back and forward between two period to change the future and save the world.) So they use different ratios to represent different era. the 1999 scenes are 4:3 , and 2019 scenes are more modern day wide screen ratio.
