Straightforward everyday plot about kids kidnapping an elephant from a circus and then it's all sorted out and they live happily ever after. Has a lot of confusing circus trucks, donkeys, some clowns and a clowns car, and a very strange kangeroo costume. Reject truck (1)- the circus ticket office - I don't think the blue cab/green body is seen on anything else Reject truck (2) - can't match it to anything else DUP 2x4C = 1965 - no trace now for imHeffalumpdb for imStrangekangeroowhichlookslikeacowcostumedb

JCB wrote The colours of all vehicles in film are similar to Billy Smarts Circus, wonder if they are? This is the extent of the circus set and looks a "proper" one, but not as big as I'd expect for a proper Billy Smarts. All the circus vehicles are a bit elderly and/or dishevelled - maybe retired or sold off to Bertie Boggins Circus, with their best days behind them. The elephant came from Chessington Zoo according to end credits, and my guess is it's a begged-and-borrowed assembly of circus things more than an off-the-peg "Can we borrow your full circus for a week?" arrangement.
