:think: I would have thought, filmed in 1989, because there are absolutely no Western details visible, which have flooded the Zone already after early 1990 - no merchandise, no plastic bags, no used Western cars with DDR-plates - and even the grocery store in one scene is pure DDR.

 P.S. is the Fahrstuhl (elevator) from the title visible?

My brother-in-law once owned a little full-aluminium made trailer, made by the "VEB Fahrtreppen und Aufzugsbau"
The large industrial state-owned VEB had also to produce comsumer goods - with the bizarre result, that aluminium huts have made kids clothings.

I have noticed (in 2001 it was free visitors access) a lift, made in the 60ies by a private DDR-company, a GmbH

This kind of company was closed down by the DDR regime in 1972.
