This is my baby! It's a '74, not a '73. I bought Gumby in 1990. The casting agent hunted for her for 2 months before finally finding where we live. They kept her for 2 months. They painted her the two tone orange/white and she looked brand new. Then they painted on the "rust" and primer, attached all the groovy stickers, built a L-shape seating in the passenger area. I still have the sweet sage bundle, dream catchers, sun glasses, cassette tape all left in her when she was returned. They drove her pretty rough. One scene she was used as a get-away car for Christina Hendricks' character, peeling out and almost pulling a full donut in the dirt as she left. I believe that broke a tie-rod, or two, and I can't drive her anymore until it's fixed. But, alas, no money for that. https://www.facebook.com/GroovyBus/?fref=ts ![]() -- Last edit: 2016-07-17 18:40:14 |

Was it, by any chance, also in the 1999 film "Friends and Lovers"? |

Always a bad idea to lend a car for a movie shoot. ![]() |
