Interesting how all the Japanese cars are LHD EU models. In other African countries there are far more JDM imports. |

Some African countries ban cars with steering wheels on the wrong side, which would rule out JDM imports in a right hand traffic country. As to why Japanese cars from Europe are so common, there is abig trade in used cars from Europe to Africa but I would guess that in Africa spare parts for Japanese cars are easier to find and/or cheaper than for European makes. |

As Gag wrote, RHD cars aren't allowed in some African LHD-countries (the most countries, RHD you have only in the former British colonies). Actually the export of used Japanese cars from Europe to Africa ist huge. Take a closer look to German junkyards and you will find not many Japanese cars there, especially no four-door cars, SUVs and Vans. The all went to Africa, even in rough condition. /vehicle.php?id=1005884 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsS_SXR2CjE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSUY-hxB044 |
