An Alfa Spider, too background sadly, and a SAAB 900 for Antoine.

Mod: the aspect ratio of the images from this movie is incorrect. I was the one who uploaded these HD shots, but I know they weren't like this when I uploaded them. What happened?

See here:

Current vs. resized:

On the left, you can see the image is clearly stretched vertically.

The difference is small though
Either you or the admin who replaced the pics had a new size forced from a previous upload
Do you still have the original pics?

better to resize this cos later they will probably be replaced anyway when it will be released on Blu Ray

"Better to resize because they will be replaced" ? I do not get the logic behind that :??:

if he doesn't have the screen grabs anymore, it's rather pointless to redo the whole movie , so better resize the current ones before the eventual HD ones

antp BE

If I asked him if he had the pics, it is to prevent a second resize on the pics, which lowers the quality.

Unfortunately I don't have the grabs anymore on my PC. Anyway, these are already in HD, so if the movie comes out on Blu-ray what difference will that make?

With proper ratio images could be a little wider though.
I'll do the resize on the server, compressing a little less than what is done when uploading.

@antp - the images still haven't been resized to the proper ratio?

No, it is still on my to do list

Okay, thanks, but how were you able to make the images larger? I assumed that you would correct the ratio by reducing the size slightly, not increasing it. This means the quality is reduced?

antp BE

It does not change much anyway, a few more pixels in width or a few less in height

Henry Rollins about making of this movie

Quote Rollins says that at one point during production of “The Chase” the producers decided to film part of a car chase in actual Houston rush hour traffic without clearance or license to do so with stunt drivers filling in for Sheen and Rollins doing real driving.

chase2Twenty-two years later Rollins is still amazed that no one was killed. It could have ended badly for everyone.

“We are ripping something like 70-something-miles-an-hour in rush hour traffic,” he says. “It was insanity on a stick.”

Houston drivers had no way of knowing that they were unwittingly playing a part in a Hollywood movie unless they were to notice that the police cruiser Rollins was driving had Newport Beach markings on the side.

“To this day I hate what I did but we were young and dumb,” Rollins says. The amount of money needed to shut off actual roadways would have taken up much of the budget for the small-budget movie.
