| Sure, but that would make it even harder to locate the scene, it is already a tedious task as most contributions are without a timestamp now -- Last edit: 2023-06-24 13:07:00 |

| If a real Taxi, one can only assume that the cheapest diesel at the time would be preferable over the C36, at about 50% of the C36 even with the added AMG-styling. The whole point was to give an AMG appearance. Visually, at least. | 2023-06-23 19:49 | ||

| Odd indeed. As is the year code. Again mbvin gives a more logical result. But none seems complete. |

| Like a glove.... It would be strange if not a lamp or two would be changed during 15 years of use, so probably the (missing) fender script is more trustworthy in this case |

| Hard to tell with this view, a two star vehicle so maybe we will see more of it | 2023-06-20 16:57 | ||
| The 'III' seems out of place, but the VIN is for a 1977 Microbus (or locally Microbús de Lujo would be fine, as listed) The rated power listed is correct for a 1.6l engine (1584cc) | 2023-06-20 16:55 | ||
| 2003 | 2023-06-20 16:46 | ||
| It's the date of modification, indeed, last digit of year given by the digit but the x just means present decade (for the man. date) So SA 801 followed by x0/1 (or at lastvin, they gave us both the year and the decade) would be used for 1990, 2000, 2010.... where /1 denotes the first major modification that year (sometimes a second upgrade, with a /2), or what is commonly known as model year |

| 1975B was built late 1975, it was AFAIK the 1976 model but without the emission upgrade, required for the year 1976 on as you mention | 2023-06-19 20:40 | ||

| mbdecoder is not as rock solid as lastvin has been, I'm afraid. But it's there, along with Italian market and taxi equipment codes. |

Seems they pick one quite randomly. And yes it wouldn't, but here you can clearly see the chrome inserts along the body and bumper |

| Don't think so, it was not the very first C219 but was made from 11/04, with pre-production units appearing in March | 2023-06-08 21:38 | ||

| Appears to be the 16 inch wheels, found in 1997-99 US brochures More important, bumpers give the impression of being Parktronic equipped by the horizontal split visible, but the image is very blurred and distorted, probably due to lossy compression -- Last edit: 2023-06-07 22:15:48 |

| Ther was a special 200 diesel version for taxi use | 2023-06-03 08:11 | ||
| Probably. The blue 420 has been repaired and apparently somewhere along the line they replaced the taillamps and also deleted the badge (not in the build sheet). The red 600 has had a sip from the fountain of youth. For the subject vehicle, rather a CL, the updated bumpers with Parktronic and the Xenon lamps (old type seen here) are visible. The mirror 'bulge' is sensor and indicator lights for the short-lived IR locking system. Later moved to the door handle. |

| Nice. T1 (or T-1, as in "Technical Programme 1") body code is not widely used though, first one here on imcdb, by porsche.com it was used for 356A before the T2. T1 didn't exist at the time of the Pre-A. | 2023-06-02 06:19 | ||

| 1963 over 1962 - I see no reason for that? With thumb added, I can't see the wheels of a 1964-65 356 C, they look like Super wheels. So rather 1962-63 356 B. T6 indeed. | 2023-05-30 18:27 | ||
| Too posh for an original camper - but owners did also convert their buses. And yes it does look like the far D-pillar is 1964+. 1963+ side panel vents - if original. | 2023-05-30 18:18 | ||
