| lower airdam with Marchal fog lights came out 1/2 way through the 1984 model year | 2022-05-26 16:29 | ||
| If you look at the left side of the hatch you can see a blur of black and orange, Which makes this a Mustang Turbo GT Link to "barnfinds.com" while it is written as GT Turbo on the car, officially and in all literature it is Turbo GT -- Last edit: 2022-05-26 15:40:44 |

| It's one of the GM variants by the side moldings | 2021-07-15 19:21 | ||
| Sidekick Sport | 2021-07-15 19:20 | ||
| that is so odd that they took them badge off for one year. Explorers are not my forte, I just knew my 05 has one but i never noticed that some of them some didn't. | 2021-07-15 19:16 | ||
| has 1998 only Chevrolet badge (in the shape of the old Geo globe) in the grille sop Chevy not Geo | 2021-07-15 19:07 | ||
| I am willing to bet that Baube is correct, that black tape is the perfect size to cover up the PONTIAC badge on the 1996+ Sunrunner and this has the 96-98 bumpers. The Chevrolet badge (for 98) would be too long and the GEO decal (96-97) would be taller than the tape. | 2021-07-15 19:06 | ||
| 1995+ by the top | 2021-07-15 19:00 | ||
| 96-98 (facelifted bumper) with the Expressions Appearance Package | 2021-07-15 18:58 | ||
| 1995 per the top style | 2021-07-15 16:46 | ||
| looks like 1993 badges on the door, LSi at any rate. | 2021-07-15 16:36 | ||
| after all these years i just noticed the main pic and thumbnail are different Trackers, main pic is a 1992 (stylized purple TRACKER on quarter panel) and the Thumbnail is a 1991 (Green Block TRACKER on quarterpanel and tire cover) | 2021-07-15 16:33 | ||
| 1989 only | 2021-07-15 16:27 | ||
| 93-95 LSi | 2021-07-15 16:23 | ||
| color and updated dash put this at at least a 1992 and no CHMSL means no newer than 1993 | 2021-07-15 16:22 | ||
| far be it for me to remove a Tracker from the site, but as the Daihatsu is a hell of a lot rarer, and they are both background cars, I suggest this page be for the Rocky (1990-1992 in SX trim) | 2021-07-15 16:20 | ||
| Green TRACKER on quarter panel and tire cover is 1991 only | 2021-07-15 16:18 | ||
| This is actually a Sidekick per the wheels | 2021-07-15 16:16 | ||
| 1991-1992 hardtop | 2021-07-15 16:14 | ||
| 1990 LSi as indicated by black grille and LSi badge on door pillar | 2021-07-15 16:13 | ||
| 1992 only, last year for that grille, first year for the stylized TRACKER on quarter panel. | 2021-07-15 16:12 | ||
| 1996-97 (LWB) | 2021-07-15 16:11 | ||
| 93-95 | 2021-07-15 16:10 | ||
| 1989 or 1990, I can't tell if there is an LSi badge on the door pillar so defaulting to 1989 | 2021-07-15 16:09 | ||
| 1993-1995 | 2021-07-15 16:06 | ||

| 1996-97 (airbag) | 2021-07-15 15:57 | ||
| this is not a Tracker, its a 1994+ (CHMSL) Suzuki Sidekick | 2021-07-15 15:55 | ||
| what makes in 2002 only? I am pretty sure all of them have EXPLORER on the doors, I know my 05 Limited does. | 2021-07-15 15:48 | ||
| 4N2XN11T8XD832586 | 2021-07-15 15:42 | ||
| VIN is 3VWCC21V02M807223 per carfax | 2021-07-15 15:40 | ||
| yeah I get repo orders like that too...my favorite is RVs though, sometimes they just decode the Vin for the Chassis and send me looking for a Ford F53 instead of a Winnebago ITASCA but a lot of the times it'll just say something like Ford Itasaca suncruiser 35 the funniest was when they accepted an order for a "Volvo Dump Truck" and i wound it, when i called my boss and told him he needed to hire a loboy and escort cars etc, he thought I was crazy. He said just get the keys and drive it to the lot... He thought he accepted an order for a normal dump truck but it was an 6 wheeled articulating off road beast |

| also yes that first commercial is definitely Canadian... "built for Drivers" was the Canadian slogan while we still had "we are driving excitement" in the US | 2021-07-13 21:16 | ||
| it could also be as simple as the test car that Test Drive got was a Canadian spec (if it is not a Canadian show) FWIW the 1995 GM line up episode of Motorweek has no DRLs on the Sunfire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CutjgZyyo9Y&ab_channel=MotorWeek | 2021-07-13 21:12 | ||
| you know what is really funny... I repo cars for a living and when i get a repo order from Chrysler Capital it still comes back as a 2020 Dodge Ram so its not just us that has no idea whats going on haha | 2021-07-13 20:57 | ||
| sorry it was an Interview with RAM CEO (at that time ) Fred Diaz "We first asked whether Ram trucks would continue to have a Dodge VIN (vehicle ID code), or whether the brand would spin off on its own. Mr. Diaz responded that Ram would continue to use the Dodge VIN identifier" "Ram will always have the Dodge emblem inside and outside. We need to continue to market as Ram so Dodge can have a different brand identity: hip, cool, young, energetic. That will not fit the campaign for truck buyers. The two should have distinct themes. ... Sam Elliot's voice overs are fantastic - perfect [for Ram] - but wouldn't fit for Dodge." and when specifically asked if the Dakota was a Dodge or RAM: "We asked if the "lifestyle Dakota" would be a Dodge or a Ram, and he said, "If it has a [pickup] bed, it's a Ram." | federally it is illegal, but different states have different rules as to whether its legal or not. | 2021-07-13 20:36 | ||
| it is definitely a Sidekick wheel, and i think i see a hint of amber in the taillight. pre 1994 as it has no CHMSL | 2021-07-13 20:35 | ||
| this is actually an easy one, that green TRACKER decal on the quarter panel was only available on 1991 models | 2021-07-13 20:33 | ||
| very plausible, hell we have commercials here showing the Euro spec version of a car sometimes lol | 2021-07-13 20:30 | ||
| while the VIN switch may have occurred in 2011, according to Chrysler themselves all 2010+ Trucks are branded as RAM and not Dodge, they even said in a press conference at the time that the VIN would still come back as a Dodge, but y'all do what you want I am not on this site enough to argue about it anymore. Regardless of the year, this is a booth for RAM trucks and not Dodge, based on the backdrop. | 2021-07-13 20:28 | ||
| indeed GMC in SLE trim (the GMC equivalent to Geo's LSi) | 2021-07-13 20:14 | ||
now this I know is incorrect, I have owned 3 1995 Sunfires as well as a 1996 and in the US the 1995 did not have DRLs. |
2021-07-13 20:11 | ||
| since Geo was technically a subbrand of Chevrolet, some VIN software decodes them as Chevrolets, a lot of my Trackers and Metros have been registered as Chevrolets in the past. Or it could be a Canadian spec that someone brought with them. The CHMSL on these are also often removed to fit a bigger spare, although this particular one also has the 1989-1994 style top... | 2021-07-13 20:09 | ||
| I am going to take your word for it that this has DRls on, all I see is the different reflector for the highbeams, but it isn't a great shot | 2021-07-13 20:03 | ||
| The first GM car to come with DRLs in the US was the Corsica in 1995, I am willing to bet that the service manual mentions it because its the same manual used for CDM vehicles (The USDM owners manual doesn't mention it in 1995) of maybe because this is Toyota based it also had the option (although I think the first Toyota to have DRl in the US was in 1996 as well) | 2021-07-13 20:01 | ||
at that time, I did not think you could get body moldings on a CX, I have still never seen one with them, but I am not the expert. |
