MisterZ ![]() | Not built in Australia - Australian production didn't begin until the R31 in 1986. At the time, Nissan Australia only built the Bluebird and Pulsar locally. The Skyline was fully imported, expensive, and sold in relatively small numbers (it competed against the fully imported Toyota Cressida, Mazda 929, and Honda Accord). After 1986, the Skyline was repositioned to compete directly against the Falcon and Commodore. -- Last edit: 2019-09-16 10:16:39 |

MisterZ ![]() | Grabs from episodes 253-293 have been uploaded (from the "Mr. Bad" volume 1 and 2 DVD sets). These episodes are from the end of the 1991 season. Update (December 2019): Grabs uploaded from episodes 1-96, from the "Collection 1" DVD (note: image quality appears lower than the other DVD release). In total, there were 404 episodes of this show, meaning I have finished exactly one third of the show (or 136 episodes). -- Last edit: 2019-12-08 19:46:57 |

tore-40 ![]() | ... and it's really a Delivery Van down under. Obviuosly not the same one. But indeed, roof is white on both of them, so possibly an Austrlian deviation as the white paint would be more resistent to the sun constantly baking your roof |

Sunbar ![]() | ^ Additional views concentrating more on the side would be good, yes. Modifying the XJ-C 'pillar-less' design would give the conversion a head start as all body below the belt-line and the moving glasses are unchanged. Therefore sealing against either the fixed roof of the coupe or the convertible's folding roof would be almost the same. All the glasses on the XJ-C were multi-adjustable with the complex monkey-climb guidance system unlike the simpler saloon's glasses running in conventional channels. |

Sandie ![]() | Would probably be useful to have additional views in this instance. Here's something similar: Link to "www.shannons.com.au" -- Last edit: 2019-08-18 14:59:56 |

dsl ![]() | Agreed. Making an S3 into a 2-door would be a lot more difficult than sticking S3 bits onto an S2. A few folk chopped XJ-Cs, either as small batches or one-offs, so unlikely we'll find out who did this and where (UK or Aus). | 2019-08-18 14:41
Sunbar ![]() | My vote goes to it being based on the XJ-C series II. There is possibly a single push-button door handle visible, as on the XJ-C, rather than any sign of the flap type handles for the series III. | 2019-08-18 12:27
elsch ![]() | The third brake light indicates a hatchback with this front it's a MY 1991 only. | 2019-08-17 16:05
dsl ![]() | 1979+ for S3. Probably chopped in Aus. Or if it's a 2-door, probably based on 1975+ XJC S2 with S3 front bits added. | 2019-08-17 04:46 |
