Sam12under ![]() | The wheels were not built by Cragar, the FWD(front wheel drive) wheels that are call Starwires, were built by Weld Wheels in the late 1970s to mid 80s. The ones that "stick out" a few inches from the vehicle's wheel well. -- Last edit: 2022-04-25 04:23:58 |

Demetrie ![]() | The Texan Wire Wheels are built in California. Their short of like the continuation of the 1984s and 83s Cragar Starwire rims built specifically as options for the FWD Eldorados. P.S. This film is based/made in Los Angeles , California . Which is yeah, at one point the rims were available to the public Nationwide. -- Last edit: 2020-08-29 14:17:19 |

elmer ![]() | From the 1947-55 Advance-Design truck line. The bed length is not visible, so saying it's a ½-ton 3100 is more a guess than a real identification. According to sixcyl's thumb, the truck doesn't have the 1947-50 cowl vent panel, which means it has the 1951+ vent window: a 1951-53 model. → 1951 Advance-Design, with nothing more. |

AnimatronixX ![]() | Could be worse, considering that they are now mostly known in Russia. And we don't even know yet what fate Daft Punk will experience one day. |

dsl ![]() | I always wondered what happened to them when the royalties ran out, but being reduced to living under the bonnet of a shit Cadillac is tragic. |
2019-02-06 20:47 | ||
AnimatronixX ![]() | That's not the case (see what I did there...). If you are referring to the slightly elongated hood (sorry: "bonnet") - I tell you what is underneath that extra bit: SPACE!!! ![]() |

AnimatronixX ![]() | Update 2019: In the meantime, I met one of these beauties (yeah, I know I'm the only one who likes these...) and learned that "Paris" was indeed part of the name and ACC heavily badged them as such, just in case we forget. | 2019-02-06 18:50
antp ![]() | Thanks for the info; they were regrouped afterwards because they were identified as similar models. I assume that for what is seen, they can still stay together even if they are not exactly the same model year. | 2018-12-11 15:42
Galane ![]() | antp, your image is of a 1974, low positioned gas cap. As for the green one it doesn't have the shiny metal bumper strip so is not a 74 or 75, but there's not enough detail to determine if it has the 76 and 77 style strip, or the 78 style. What have TV and movie people got against showing the gas caps or fronts of Mustang II's? They're left hand drive cars yet the majority of the screencaps here show the passenger side and rear, or small and/or blurry shots of the nose and/or left side. ;P |

ryo777 ![]() | Yep, 1978 Grand Lemans... you can tell by the large opening, eggcrate grille. It should say "Grand LeMans" by the front corner, turn signal light. | 2011-03-19 03:04
Snookie ![]() | Yep. Diplomat had a 112 inch wheelbase, which was deemed too small for the LAPD's specifications. The Chevy Caprice/Impala had a 116, and the Ford LTD Crown Victoria had a 114. | 2011-02-07 06:18

jettalover ![]() | What's the red car half seen in the 9th thumbnal? | 2010-08-11 06:34
ford_guy ![]() | @Snookie: I know I'm a bit late but the third brake light is indeed an aftermarket item. As for the Payless Shoe Store in the third thumbnail. That's at the corner of Cesar Chavez Avenue (it was known as Brooklyn Ave. at the time) and Soto. That building is still EXACTLY the same up to the present day. I used to ride the bus by there during my early high school days. |
