Gamer DE1926-27 by the double belt moldings seen in the film. Not 1928 as that was a new radiator design. No scuff plates and probably short wheelbase so I'd say Standard Six [27] 2022-09-15 16:36

AnimatronixX DEOh, we could have had that earlier, but I never saw this page before. The Centomobil played a major role in the rather weird German TV show Die Zukunft hat Geburtstag – 100 Jahre Automobil. I remember watching it as a kid and I felt actually older when it ended... 2019-10-02 21:31
(inactive user)Nice find.
I updated the entry.

gte4289 USThis is the 1986 Mercedes-Benz Centomobil concept. The Shoujaa 2000 of 1988 was an attempt to replicate the Centomobil.

Images of the Centomobile can be found here:

Gamer DEThere was no Buggyaut in 1897. The model is first listed in the 1908 model list (though the picture above that is titled '1907 Duryea, Buggyaut' :??: ) 2019-02-15 22:18

Gamer DEDuryea Buggyaut ca. 1907, I think, due to the rear brakes. Almost everything that makes it recognizable (logo, top, fenders) has been removed and overpainted.

I see Norway coproduced this film, so maybe it came from a museum there?

TheCarson116 USAnd I just discovered that the car seen on the right side of this Beetle is a Ford Model T, (or at least based on one) while the car that Herbie races in The Love Bug is also based on a Ford Model T! 2016-12-02 22:31

tore-40 a écrit With these taillights and the oval rear window a 1956-57, yes, but missing the front indicators so not made for U.S.

Brezelkäfer and Ovalis were not sold officially in the US to my memory (it started with the big 1957+ rear window) but I'm probably wrong again...

TheCarson116 USThis kinda reminds me of that scene in the 1968 The Love Bug movie, where two teens in a hot rod taunt Herbie, and Herbie ends up outracing them! Except of course this one has different bumpers and is a '56 rather than a '63, but it still reminds me of that scene. Anyone else that was reminded? :) 2016-12-02 16:51
Khaosth PLI've found something simillar on the photos from Emirates National Auto Museum
http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/01/a-car-collection-worthy-of-a-sheikh/

It's called Shoujaa 2000 and looks like 6-seat replica of car from the movie. Unfortunately museum's site has no information about this car and I can't find maker's site to check their inspiration.

First year of production for both would be 1937.

eLMeR MHHalf-Ton in letters, as written in Ford brochures? The 1-ton models were labeled either as One-Ton or as Tonner, the 1½-ton and 2-ton trucks as Heavy Duty.
This said, is there enough clues here to say a Half-Ton pickup here over a Tonner one?
