Gamer ![]() | 1926-27 by the double belt moldings seen in the film. Not 1928 as that was a new radiator design. No scuff plates and probably short wheelbase so I'd say Standard Six [27] | 2022-09-15 16:36

AnimatronixX ![]() | Oh, we could have had that earlier, but I never saw this page before. The Centomobil played a major role in the rather weird German TV show Die Zukunft hat Geburtstag – 100 Jahre Automobil. I remember watching it as a kid and I felt actually older when it ended... | 2019-10-02 21:31
| (inactive user) | Nice find. I updated the entry. |

gte4289 ![]() | This is the 1986 Mercedes-Benz Centomobil concept. The Shoujaa 2000 of 1988 was an attempt to replicate the Centomobil. Images of the Centomobile can be found here: http://www.forum-mercedes.com/topic-360-la-centomobil-de-1986.html Link to "carsthatnevermadeitetc.tumblr.com" |

Jale ![]() | Yes, I know. But car seems to be similar (but with two lamps). | 2019-02-15 22:24
Gamer ![]() | There was no Buggyaut in 1897. The model is first listed in the 1908 model list (though the picture above that is titled '1907 Duryea, Buggyaut' ) |

Gamer ![]() | Duryea Buggyaut ca. 1907, I think, due to the rear brakes. Almost everything that makes it recognizable (logo, top, fenders) has been removed and overpainted. I see Norway coproduced this film, so maybe it came from a museum there? |

TheCarson116 ![]() | And I just discovered that the car seen on the right side of this Beetle is a Ford Model T, (or at least based on one) while the car that Herbie races in The Love Bug is also based on a Ford Model T! | 2016-12-02 22:31
karoomay ![]() | Seems to be a brand new early 1988 model by the side mirrors. | 2016-12-02 17:14
Lateef ![]() | Then they wouldn't have had the made for USA tag. | 2016-12-02 17:13

Gamer ![]() | Brezelkäfer and Ovalis were not sold officially in the US to my memory (it started with the big 1957+ rear window) but I'm probably wrong again... |

TheCarson116 ![]() | This kinda reminds me of that scene in the 1968 The Love Bug movie, where two teens in a hot rod taunt Herbie, and Herbie ends up outracing them! Except of course this one has different bumpers and is a '56 rather than a '63, but it still reminds me of that scene. Anyone else that was reminded? ![]() |

Khaosth ![]() | I've found something simillar on the photos from Emirates National Auto Museum http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/01/a-car-collection-worthy-of-a-sheikh/ It's called Shoujaa 2000 and looks like 6-seat replica of car from the movie. Unfortunately museum's site has no information about this car and I can't find maker's site to check their inspiration. https://360carmuseum.com/en/museum/20/exhibit/1024 -- Last edit: 2015-11-01 05:07:31 |

tw2003 ![]() | Same car here Link to "www.forum-auto.com" (see license plate) is said to be a 402 but the logo looks more like a 302. First year of production for both would be 1937. -- Last edit: 2015-09-03 15:51:14 |

eLMeR ![]() | Half-Ton in letters, as written in Ford brochures? The 1-ton models were labeled either as One-Ton or as Tonner, the 1½-ton and 2-ton trucks as Heavy Duty. This said, is there enough clues here to say a Half-Ton pickup here over a Tonner one? ![]() (1946 Ford brochure excerpt) ![]() (1947 Ford brochure excerpts) -- Last edit: 2015-08-26 21:29:38 |
