Commander 57 ![]() | Here we go once again. No such thing as a "1975 Seville". ALL of the first models were VIN coded as 1976's. And this one is a post-1976 as the '76's had eggcrate grilles. |

Snookie ![]() | #2054 was part of a group of 68 or 70 Grumman Flxible 870 ADB's delivered to the OCTD in late 1978. The Flxible logo on this bus indicates a possible mid-life rehab sometime in the 1980's after Grumman Allied Industries was acquired by General Automotive Corporation (aka Flxible). The bus on the link is actually a Flxible Metro, but it is an Advanced Bus Remanufacture unit from 1983-1985 as evidenced by its raised floor height. -- Last edit: 2010-11-29 22:32:32 |

Pokeoddsponge ![]() | Also I think the logo on this truck started to be used in 1955. Before that had a small round logo. So this could be an early model 800 instead of a late model 700, the main visual difference between the 700 and the 800 is the 800 had storage compartments on the sides at the back, on the pumper model at least, but since this is a tiller ladder that doesn't apply. I think in 1958 they switched to quad headlights then soon after came out with the model 900, so it's older than 1958. Maybe Propliner knows for sure if it's a 700 or 800. |

Propliner ![]() | Los Angeles City Fire Department never had any or operated any 700 Series trucks, but Los Angeles County Fire Department had 3 700 Series aerials. This could be one of LA County's old trucks, but I don't know if any of them survive to this day. | 2010-11-28 21:34 | ||

nzcarnerd ![]() | Don't know much about these buses but the one in our pic has ten square side windows and this one - http://www.busexplorer.com/PHP/MidPage.php?id=1306 - listed as a Supercoach - has only nine. This one is captioned as a Coach and has ten - http://www.pacbus.org/pbmnews/news07.shtml . Can't guarantee that the pics have the right captions of course. | 2010-11-28 06:59 |
