electra225 a écrit There were a number of such granada hearses in the 70's and 80's.

Indeed, and many of them (if not the most) were bodied by Dario Casale of Bassano del Grappa.

Lateef NONo, definitely 1985-89 due to the trim. 1990-93 had heavy body-coloured cladding along the sides. The owner has just added clear indicators and newer rims. 2013-09-13 10:24
electra225 ITLater than '85. I think a 1990-93. 2013-09-12 20:50

pawncob ENI entered the number in a search engine and got THIS.
Can anyone tell me what this is? (Be patient, it's BIG file)

G-MANN UKAren't the rear lights still kept the same? And the ones on this one do match the Mk2 Granada's. 2012-12-07 02:27
ElSaxo ITI agree, it's not improbable that's a Ford Granada, for example I used to see a rusty Granada hearse, used to promote a discotheque. 2012-11-19 15:57
Sinatra BRdsl, I'm sorry to tell but apparently the color doesn't match, so no way it could be a Sunbeam, however it's a pretty close guess since it has four wheels and a big rear window, but the defunct would have to sit in order to fit in such a small car :)
Well, talking about the Granada, take a look at this photo:

It's the only one I could find where they used a sedan instead of a station wagon version of the MkII. Since these things are coachbuilt, there's barely no ressemblance between the subject and the car pictured in my example when it comes to the "cargo area", or the defunct living room if you prefer. Notice the following details: - wider, chrome line absent tail lights (which could eliminate the Fiat 130); - rectangular, small chrome licence plate's light spots on the upper side of the bumper.
Seems pretty close to me.

zodiac SEThere's nothing that even remotely resembles a 740. Fiat 130 isn't far off. 2012-11-19 10:30
matze0210 DECould be a converted Volvo 740. You find them quite often in Italy for that purpose. 2012-11-19 08:31
dsl SXNaaahhhh - it's a Chrysler Sunbeam http://www.flickr.com/photos/47381765@N04/7462719554/ . (Only kidding!). I wondered about Fiat 130 for Coupe-like lights, but Granada idea looks good.

ElSaxo ITProbably yes, if there's really written "Marchetti - Piacenza Italy", exactly in Piacenza (northern Italy) there's a company named Marchetti which assembles cranes. http://www.marchetti.it/index/en But who know on what is based this one... 2012-09-26 23:11
