DynaMike a écrit Yes Ingo, I suspect a 1979 GS X.

The GSA has never had these hubcaps, it would have had a black (not chromed) fuel cap, bigger bumpers indeed, and a slightly different shape of the tird side window (though not easy to distinguish). I first though I saw GSA black door handles, here, but I guess that's only because of the light.

It also has GSA mirrors, the fuelcap could be chrome too on GSA (easy to replace aftermarket). As are the hubcaps. Bumpers are however GS also. Mirror surroundings are black, as on GSA, striping looks GSA too. However I am not 100% sure either.

Also if it is a GSX why should it be specificly 1979? Could it not be 1977 or 1978?

chicomarx BEColor is Miami Blau, typical for Audi 50 so I'd go for it... :) 2010-11-04 08:21
electra225 IT...in this case it is an Audi 50 2010-11-03 23:20
ingo DEI don't think, that it's a 1979-Polo, because there is no thick black plastic around the front lamps. 2010-11-03 18:21

electra225 ITI agree with the comment about maybe the ugliest plate I ever seen... 2010-11-03 15:36
electra225 IT...but I have the impression this is a late Polo (I) for the bumpers. Therefore it could be a 1979 Polo L.
Since the spring of 1978, other Polos were available and a bit later the Audi 50 was deleted. After December 1979 only the Polo L and a bit later even the GT were available. At the same time, among the Derbys, only the LS was available after December 1979.

DynaMike NLI think the lights look so big only because we look right into them... 2010-11-03 12:59
ingo DEYes, this irritates me quite a lot. The lamps are very Ascona C-ish, so I thought, it is one. But the car is indeed to small for it. Maybe someone has cobbled Ascona-lamps into a Corsa. 2010-11-03 12:55
Lateef NOFor some reason, the headlights just look epically big for a Corsa. 2010-11-03 12:52

More likely. The bonnet shape match:

ingo DE1975+ Polo I [Typ86], but due the trims on the side, it also can be an Audi 50. As electra225 wrote, in Italy you only had the Standard Polo, no more luxoury versions. 2010-11-03 12:33
