Gamer DERound headlights on the Club in Germany came in summer of 1987 (1988 MY) when the Club was discontinued in France, leaving the Spécial as the base version and the Charleston as the other options:

As Germany was dependent of the Club, Citroen was left with no other choice than to import Spécials and badge them as Clubs (no Spécial in Germany since September 1979)

Gamer DEBrochures indicate that round headlights came very late for Germany outside of the Charleston. An August 1985 brochure still shows a 2CV 6 Club with square lights, Charleston with round lights and Acadiane as the only options. Couldn't find any 1986 promo material, but the Sausss Ente which began to be offered February 1987 already had the round lights.

The Gauloises 2CV which were offered in a raffle in 1984 also had round lights but I think that's because they were likely based off the Charleston.

Gamer wrote 2000-03, Austrian assembled for Europe.

Austira only built supplemental models. They did not exclusively supply Europe. There are European models listed with Toluca built VINs. Without a VIN it is a moot point.

I'll take your word for it, though it's always nice to have extra pictures as evidence ;)

dsl SXSeems no headlamp wipers, which means early D-6 (before 1981 from memory - am away from home so can't check the detail references). Shiny roof, not vinyl cover, so not VdP. 2016-05-11 18:31

G-MANN UKWell I did say "just from this". Problem is we don't know if peto1995 saw a badge or just thought this was this name for it or guessed. And when I said "Here we go again" it wasn't directed at peto, it was because I was anticipating another debate about tints and foglamps.

How do we know it's a Double Six just from this? Answer - we don't. Unless that plate number can be looked up.
