bosundave ![]() | The audio of the motor during chase scenes sounds like a built motor. Probably dubbed? Not a GT package. PROBABLY a 289-4V 225 horsepower. I dont see any GT badging. The best factory motor in 1965 was the 4.7L 289cu hi output four barrel making 271 HP....."and beginning in June, a powerful 4 barrel, solid lifter, 289 cid 271 horsepower V-8 engine." Link to "www.mustangspecs.com" "At the time there was a Mustang parts vendor in Nashua NH that would supply some replacement parts for the cars they used. In talking to the guy that owned the place, I guess they'd regularly buy replacement mirrors, glass, sheet metal etc as the cars picked up damage... He thought they had 2 or 3 cars in use; Ivy green, Black interiors, 289 automatics, although at least one was a stick, IIRC. One that was mostly interior shots, and two for exterior views. He said they purposely removed the grill bars and other trim that would peg it as 65 or 66 so the different cars would look the same." https://www.vintage-mustang.com/threads/spenser-for-hire-mustang.410504/ |

bosundave ![]() | For chase scenes and minor stunts. Must have stiffer, higher springs to keep from bottoming out. They use a special stunt car with a full roll cage (usually) for the more dangerous stunts |

Imperial Coach Limo ![]() | Not a rare case of a Fleetwood brougham stretch because all RWD Cadillac stretches were Fleetwood Brougham in 1985. Dillinger started using an proprietary aftermarket wirewheel cover starting with the 1985 model year with the "DG" initials on the center cap, prior years they used OEM Cadillac wheel covers, also the front signal lenses are clear with the gold wings which didn't start until the 1984 model year, so this is a 1985 Dillinger stretch Fleetwood Brougham. | 2022-05-01 01:35 | ||

night cub ![]() | Looks like the first season, Spenser was on Fridays at 10, against Miami Vice and Falcon Crest, then moved to Tuesdays at 10, against The Equalizer and Stingray. Season 2 moved to Saturdays at 10 (back when networks aired fresh programs on Saturdays!), against Hunter and the Twilight Zone. The final season was moved (again) to Sundays at 8 in the fall, against Murder She Wrote and Family Ties/My Two Dads; then back to Saturdays at 10, back against Hunter and West 57th. So it had 5 different time slots in 3 seasons. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" -- Last edit: 2021-10-26 04:33:26 |
