Weasel1984 PLEverything is faked in this film, but nothing can be "badly faked" since the action is not set in any real country. We don't know where it is. 2009-10-07 18:47

ingo DEIf the colour is original, it's newer than 1968 In 1968 there was no yellow in the programme. It's not original anyways. The front hubcap is from an older model, 1966 or so, the handle from the front hood from a basic 1200 (black, not chrome), and the 1968/69 1300 had (if I'm not wrong) chrome, resp.plastic-chrome-trims in the window-rubbers. The mirror is supermarket-stuff.

Basicially it was a 1971 VW 1300, I would say.
2009-10-06 22:30
ingo DEAs many cars, visible in this movie -an visible in the early 80ies at all- "pimped" with plastic, a spoiler and the four-lamp-grille. As the Golf I in the foreground, too. Maybe from the KAMEI-programme, maybe supermarket-junk. 2009-10-06 22:23
ingo DEDefinetely not a BMW and definetely not a West German police-bike. And no GDR-police-bike. They had different windshields.

A disguised bike from the Polish police? What did they have used?
2009-10-06 22:18
ingo DEThe green car :??:

 Sorry, but this is not an Ascona B, it's a 1977 Audi 80, colour "manilagreen"

ingo DEHrrmmphhh - the plate seems to be made from a cutted oven-cover-tin, the letters from potato-strips or liquorice. Disgusting! :/ 2009-10-06 22:13

ingo DEPolski Fiat? The street-marking aren't West German, so probably a scene from Poland. 2009-10-06 21:58
ingo DEWest-Berlin due the style of the illuminated "U", the sign for the U-Bahn (= "subway" or "tube" in USA, "Underground" in London, "Metro" in Paris). 2009-10-06 21:56
ingo DEtwo of them 2009-10-06 21:54

ingo DEWest-Berlin-bus, so this scene was made (stock footage probably) in West-Berlin. 2009-10-06 21:52
ingo DEHorribly faked police-cars. Due the style of the location (ca.1910-1930 German-style -East of the river Elbe- houses), this scene was filemd in Poland. 2009-10-06 21:51
