Weasel1984 PLWith side strips and all black bumpers it can be HLS. However, despite in 1983 A-R's brochure side strips are not mentioend as extra option for L/HL, Unipart made such add-on also with silver inserts:

walter ITMaybe it was not as known as BMW and Mercedes when talking about luxury brands yet. But from the middle-end of the 90ies the things have changed, you can't deny it. Of course, there are still many people who can't see the difference between Audi and VW... Same thing for those who consider Lexus an overpriced Toyota. 2014-07-17 13:40

walter wrote That's a very rare one, because 1984 was the first Audi 200 year (one year later the 100 C3), so this can be one of the first 200 sold in Italy :wow:

Note: in this scene the Audi 200 is put in a very expensive car group for that period (Maserati, Jaguar, Mercedes, Saab). This means that in the 80s Audi had already a luxury and expensive car reputation :)

In the 80's audi was everything but a luxury brand, it was considered an overpriced VW, just like today more or less.

ingo DEJust a few minutes after my last posting I found this http://www.merian.de/fotostrecke/fotostrecke-62320-25.html in an article about Beyrouth of a travel-magazine.

@Dudley: you find a plenty of UK-drivers at the Nordschleife. When I had been there some years ago, there was the Porsche 911 Owners Club of GB there, too. They made a club-journey to "The Ring". Many car-enthusiasts-clubs are doing the same, at least every club of any vehicle with just a little racing-history. So not us.

ingo DECould be. Strange. It has a GTI-badge, the plastic wheel-arches and the bigger wheels, but not the side-stripes and I cannot see neither the small red stripe around the grille and on the bumper. 2010-12-10 16:36

Early Talbot looked the same BTW.

Pomtidom NLIt's a Moto Guzzi V65 C as built from 1982 to 1985 2010-12-09 17:04

electra225 wrote The black one is a rare 1980 Ritmo "Targa Oro" 3 door, a special edition which was early available in Italy only in black if a 3 door, or in metallic brown if a 5 door. Later a dark red (burgundy) 5 door was added.
For export countries even brown and possibly dark red 3 door were available, as well black 5 door.

Sandie SXAccording to Wiki:

Quote An urban myth surrounds the car in that it was claimed it would have to be re-badged for the German market as the name 'Triumph Acclaim' translates to 'Sieg Heil' in German. In truth, the Acclaim was only sold in Germany to British servicemen and servicewomen based in Germany through the NAAFI.
