| dsl | BMC (British Motor Corporation) merged with Leyland group in 1968 to form British Leyland, so was several years obsolete by 76. As far as I know BMC branding was not used for cars, only some trucks and vans for a short period up to 69 which were then rebranded Leyland. Accepting that some individual European markets kept non-UK branding for 2-3 years after 1970 (eg some Austin Mini 1000 Mk3 instead of just Mini 1000 Mk3), but I just don't see BMC being used by 76 as an official title. I remember that 'Biltilsynet' as it was once named had the habit of doing so, thus seperating trim levels or vehicle groups from others. @dsl: Going from microfiche and paper files to computers and digital files, there seems to have been added 'BMC' as make. Is this something to justify altering this page?
