Vermokus2000 HUThe car is not an original version, but because of the door handles and the rear alfa romeo subtitle, it is a 1965-68 Giulia Super. From the hood the chrome strip is missing, and this black grid is a very intereting one:) The wheels are not correct for this modell too 2022-02-01 19:26

dsl SXMy incomplete run of World Car Catalogue editions say Portugal assembly was:
1967 - Victor, Viva
1969 - Victor, Viva
1971 - Victor, Viva
1975 - Victor, Viva
1976 onwards - Portugal assembly continued, but no info on models.

So I think this could well have been made-in-P.

rpcm PTAgreed - although they seem to be a bit "highly-placed". This rear bonnet was used until 1957 and the plate seems to a 1957 one (DD). 2013-12-27 04:17

It's a Ford Anglia.

rpcm PTJudging by what is visible of its front seats and rear wheel, I would say the one on the link is a 1600 GT. 2013-12-27 04:03
rpcm PTThe ones on the left and on the right are 1975-79 Volvo B59 bodied by Camo, Caetano or UTIC. The one in the middle seems to be a 1978+ MAN SL200 also bodied by Caetano or UTIC. 2013-12-27 04:00
rpcm PTAlthough a small number of 1.6 D were imported, these 5-door Caravans were pratically all 1.3 S Luxus (1.2 S were 3-door Caravans).

rpcm PTJudging by the visible details, the version that matches the Portuguese range is the 1.2 S Luxus. 2013-12-27 03:29
rpcm PTAlthough this was the shape of the Brazilian Passat between September 1974 and 1979 when it was restyled, one detail makes me think you may be right: the front doors' quarterlights don't seem to open (this feature is perceived on the blue car of the Portuguese brochure). In that case this may be, indeed, a German-made one that was used to mimic a real PSP car. 2013-12-27 03:26

dsl SXThe ADO16 could yet be a local version 1300 GT or similar. It's a Mk2 and has GT-ish wheels, black interior and possibly side trim. Colour totally wrong for UK, but was there a Portugese go-faster version?? 2013-12-25 11:32
chris40 UKThe [ADO16] I thought at first was an Austin 1300GT, but the vinyl on the C-pillar suggests aftermarket pimping. I think the little red van might be a Renault Dauphinoise Fourgonnette. 2013-12-25 09:23

Also visible, besides already listed models: Opel Rekord C Coupé, 2x Bedford CF, an UK-Ford-truck, a Honda N and the dark red little Van looks Morris Minor-ish for me.

ingo DE:think: Are you sure about a Brazilian made Passat? The car on the main pic has all features and details of an early German Passat (rounded bumpers, chrome door handles, orange back indicators, not openable triangle window in the front doors).
Any pics of front or back? The German Passat LS had squarish headlights and all early Passats aluminium-badges on the back (and the "PASSAT"-badge on the left)
2013-12-25 07:23
rpcm PTFrom what I can remember, Lisbon PSP (Polícia de Segurança Pública) forces had a few Brazilian-made Passats. Portuguese VW importer sold here a lot of VW Brasilias as well as a certain number of Beetles and Passats made in Brazil. In this case I would say it's a Passat LS (hatchback) that was introduced in late 1978.
The advert was published in December 1978 and the leaflet is also a Portuguese edition.

rpcm PTI found this period Portuguese sales brochure where the names of these models are seen. The front wings'Victor script was locally replaced by a Vauxhall's griffin badge. Curiously the Estate was sold as Caravan.

rpcm PTPeriod price lists call it Familiar (1976+). Two versions of these were available: 131 and 131 S, both 1300. The 1st series saloon was never officially sold in Portugal. By what is possible to understand, this one seems to have the rubber band along the bumper and plate looks 1978. 2013-12-25 00:45
