ingo a écrit Was there a "Series II 1/2"? I've heard name that from a friend, whose father had such a car (from 1981/82, if I remember correctly) as a company-car....

Series II was discontinued before 1981/2. From March 1979 onwards the Series III had been introduced.

I do not know of any 'Series II 1/2' or 'Series III 1/2' although there were many small design changes. These terms possibly could have been applied to a late model Series II or Series III.

car nerd USWell, the car that is front and center is a 4-door sedan so that rules out a Dodge Mirada (though the car in the background is a Dodge Magnum). I think it looks a lot like a circa 1973 Pontiac Grand Am. 2009-12-18 02:37
ingo DEWas there a "Series II 1/2"? I've heard name that from a friend, whose father had such a car (from 1981/82, if I remember correctly) as a company-car. It was one of the worst car ever, he told me. Very upper-class styling (leather seats, woolen carpets, wooden dashboard, etc.) - but uncountable much defects and breakdowns.

No kidding: they were so f.cked up with it after a while, that they only have used for one thing: driving to the ALDI-supermarket. Because it was just 2 km away - a distance you could manage to go back on foot, when the next breakdown had come.

And what did the father use for his business trips? You may guess it: his old, rusty K 70. :p

Ddey65 USOkay, then I'm going to guess it's a Dodge Mirada. 2009-12-17 17:37
