130rapid ![]() | 1967 colour 'Horizontal Blue'. Strange paint name... They should sell 'Vertical Green' also. ![]() |

Weasel1984 ![]() | ^ By the lack of crease next to the rear fender (the fender itself also looks suspicious) and rounded top of the rear of body (above the wheel), Melex can be IMO excluded. | 2020-02-17 16:43
bs27v1b ![]() | It's a 1970 barracuda, you can tell by the script on the dash pad, far right. They went to a retangular box for the script in 1971. Not a correct mirror for a barracuda. | 2015-04-16 16:15
antp ![]() | There seem to be so many different-looking vehicles with that name... | 2013-09-12 17:49
mike962 ![]() | this is very likely an old Cushman Truckster same headlights, same intrument panels, looks same lengh , looks same front end ![]() more pics here |

dsl ![]() | 77+ side trim. Rear badge may be Porsche 924 Turbo but rest of car is not. | 2012-11-17 03:51
somename ![]() | Right nzcardnerd; made from a Sedan DeVille. | 2012-06-05 01:31
| tom11 | Actually the one in the main image is more likely a Melex 202 or 212 (round headlight on the front). | 2012-02-28 01:54 | ||
lion_models ![]() | hiergehts is correct. | 2008-03-29 10:21
Sunbar ![]() | Morris Minor 1000 from MY1957 by the single-piece windscreen, smaller sidelights before MY1964. At some time the bonnet has been replaced with one from a van or pick-up as there are no side mouldings in the pressing. |

ford_guy ![]() | Another clue is the fleet wheels, as the Catalina was offered with a police package during the 60's and 70's. | 2007-04-07 00:28
hiergehts ![]() | I put that in to indicate it was the 'European' Ford Granada and not the US car of the same name since this is a US made film... |

car nerd ![]() | I'm not a "car nerd" for nothing! ![]() |
2007-04-06 23:23 | ||
hiergehts ![]() | I think carnerd is right, it's a 1970-74 Plymouth Barracuda : http://www.fastcoolcars.com/images/chrysler/73cudaside1.jpg I never noticed that difference in the upper rear sidewindow trim before. Good catch.. | 2007-04-06 22:30
mrcadillac ![]() | Custom stretched limousine on Cadillac chassis from mid-to-late eighties; unknown coach- builder. | 2007-04-06 22:08
nzcarnerd ![]() | I presume not a Fleetwood 75 but a stretched sedan de ville. | 2007-04-06 22:07
car nerd ![]() | I think it's a 70-74 Barracuda. The Challenger had a rounded rear window opening where the roof meet the wintow whereas the Barracuda's rear window meet the roofline at more of a sharp point. You can exspecially see that difference in the link submitted by hiergehts -- Last edit: 2007-04-06 18:09:44 |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | Yeah, it's clearly RHD. I forgot to mention that. ![]() |

4x4peru ![]() | Correct but all the M151's should be "MUTT" not Mutt. | 2007-04-06 14:57
dudley ![]() | And the windscreen wipers sweep to the right, suggesting right-hand drive. |
2007-04-06 14:06 | ||
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | It's got headlamp deflectors (to make the lights dip to the right instead of the left) and a bunch of badges on the grille, including a British Aerospace logo and what looks like an RAC membership badge. Perhaps it really belonged to a British Aerospace employee. | 2007-04-06 11:55
antp ![]() | not "EU spec", just the european model, that had nothing common with the US one. | 2007-04-06 11:01
robgeelen ![]() | Rolls royce Phantom V Touring limousine des.PV22 by James Young 1962-1967 | 2007-04-06 10:26
philr ![]() | The '78 Parisienne didn't have that grille (it was the equivalent of the US Bonneville that year). The '78 Pontiac Laurentian and Catalina did have the same grille but since this was filmed in California, there are good chances that it's a Catalina. BTW, the Catalina was also available here in the seventies but the even cheaper Laurentian wasn't available in the States. |

hiergehts ![]() | Definitely American.. Looking at the dash, steering wheel, mirror and window trim, I'm almost sure it's a base model early 70's Dodge Challenger : http://www.stockmopar.com/reference/dodge/challenger/brochure/1973/2.jpg Comments? |

nzcarnerd ![]() | Late-'50s Chev? There are all sorts of interesting things in that pic. The white convertible in the front looks like a Hillman Minx. The blue car with the white roof on the left looks like a late-'60s Toyota Corona coupe. In the foreground looks like our blue Corona again, behind that a '54? Buick, a Volvo? with the white fender, an International Scout? convertible on the right, maybe a '60s Cadillac behind the pickup and no doubt many more! -- Last edit: 2007-04-06 07:24:26 |

4x4peru ![]() | GMC M211 (with the duals removed). The Single rear wheel M135 had a different bed than pictured. Comments? | 2007-04-06 07:14
nzcarnerd ![]() | Not a coupe but a two door saloon! Could be anywhere from about 1953 on. | 2007-04-06 07:13
4x4peru ![]() | yes Willys Jeep M38A1 | 2007-04-06 07:12
nzcarnerd ![]() | Probably the same one we saw in another pic. This model was known here as the 'shovelnose'- 1965 and 1966 and maybe a bit later? | 2007-04-06 07:12
nzcarnerd ![]() | Corona about 1966. That is a '79-'80 Corolla on the left. | 2007-04-06 07:09
qwerty_86 ![]() | 1980-1983 with a custom grille cap. | 2007-04-06 06:44
kamarokid ![]() | The 'Camaro' emblem on the fender is that of a 1968 Camaro. This is a 1968 Camaro. | 2007-04-06 06:42
qwerty_86 ![]() | It looks like more of an Olds to me. | 2007-04-06 06:41
qwerty_86 ![]() | If it's US, then it's a 1978 Catalina. -- Last edit: 2007-04-06 06:39:06 |
