It could also be 'Diesel', or '2.2 Litres' (for a TX)... But I think this very specific wheels could rather identify it as a Diesel model : they was available (as an option ?) on the 1981+ GTD (higher trim in Diesel), and also in the R30 Turbo Diesel.

elmer MHThe "Saviem SM8 TRM" apparently never existed: it was named Saviem SM8 4×4 (1977-79), Renault SM8 4×4 (1980-85) or Renault TRM4000 (1986-89). As "Saviem" is clearly visible in antp's 2nd thumbnail → a 1977-79 Saviem.

Weasel1984 PLWorth own page "Model '78" - used interchangeably with newer Mehari visible this time in the background, more info. I wrote here ->> /vehicle_4780-Citroen-Mehari-1982.html

Same 1978 car is also below, this time it has the plate "618 47 32", which on main pic was placed on newer model.
antp wrote [Image: Vehicle 171585]

In case of 1978 model the black wheel screws are ratrher not original - in brochures, early facelifted cars had them in color of the wheel, it was like that till 1981/82.

Weasel1984 PLSo gendarmes used two Meharis in this movie, they were played by at least two cars, but what's more important they weren't identical and were used interchangeably while filming. This way eg. (at least) two different Meharis played car with reg. plate "621 83 21". In main pic's scene on the railroad station we see car with 1979+ dashboard and with 1981+/1982+ black wipers and black wheel screws. In next 3 shots after that, when gendarmes are going back (and swap the sterring wheel), "621 83 21" is already a model 1978, with old dashboard and silver wipers.

Difference is visible on pic below - in foreground model 1978, behind it the newer one with black LN dashboard.

Non, c'est un taxi Diesel. 2200 ou 2500 ? Puisque c'est une finition plutot luxueuse, sans doute une 2500.

wickey wrote no, this one is 110 L and year till 1972, since 1973 they had different door handles

This is a bit complicated.
In brochures for the 1972 m.y. all Skodas 100/110 still had the old front with badge in the middle and old handles. In these for the 1973 all of them already had new (this) front end and flat handles. This car, here is like for me some kind of mix (and it is not the only one, which we have here). There are two possibilites - it is one of the last cars from the 1972 or in the 1973 for some time, some cars still have the old door handes (it wouldn't be so strange). The second one is more probable, as such mixed cars have the different than in 1972 front wings (different position of gas tank doors).
