Roughly translated: From 1969 on, Jaguar-importer Peter Lindner, based in Frankfurt, was the sole German distributor of AMC cars, offering the AMX, Rebel, Ambassador, Jeep and Javelin, the latter was assembled from CKD-kits at Karmann's branch plant in Rheine. This version was called "Javelin 79-K" and only available with a 5,6 litre-engine. 280 were built between Dezember 1968 and July 1970. But I think we discussed that fact a couple of years ago when one of them showed up in an old German detective-series called "Frank Kross" or so. After all, I hoped to help here but I guess I failed. |

ingo ![]() | Yes, the Chevrolet Monza was officially imported, I refer to the Oldsmobile-version. | 2015-11-12 01:26 | ||
Purzel89 ![]() | Its just a optical illusion. If you look closer, the badge is round! A Chevrolet Monza has more likely been swept to Europe. Here we have an UK-registered Chevrolet Monza: http://p3.storage.canalblog.com/30/91/570736/107036114_o.jpg |

police car fan ![]() | AMC cars were popular in The Netherlands, especially the Javelin, Pacer and Gremlin. I'm not very sure on Matadors though. http://static.autojunk.nl/pictures/2011/0404/190805/image_02.jpg http://www.alexmiedema.com/images/009/0430X/IMG_5734-border.JPG https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5043/5255733662_cfb8abd80b_b.jpg |
